Description
This SD tunic features a closed collar with two pleated breast pockets and two further lower pockets secured with button-down flaps.
The tunic has five brass buttons down the centre and has shoulder straps with space for regimental titles and large reinforced patches over each shoulder to prevent wear from equipment and rifle use. There is also two brass support hooks at the rear of the tunic to hold webbing belt
This Scottish tarten pattern kilt is made from a piece of pleated woollen cloth which is wrapped around the waist and fastened on the sides with buckles
Originally the tunic was made specially for Scottish soldiers with the cut away but as the Great War of 1914 to 1918 progressed they were issued with a standard tunic and had them tailored.
Lightly used in a church play in Florida to re-enact the Christmas truce of 1914
SIZES: 42 and 44
