Description
Model M16 M-1916 German WWI large size 66 helmet shell. The shell is stamped TJ66 indicating that C. Thiel & Söhne,Lübeck manufactured it.
Seems to be size 58/59 liner
Comes with 2 little iron cross decals that can probably be removed easily.
Also has some kind of red paint inside the shell and some on the liner . should be able to get off the shell .
The liner has some damage and rear liner rivet is missing
Some of the WW1 German 1916 Stahlhelm features .
- Maker’s code with marking TJ66 stamped on the interior of the shell found over the wearer’s left ear!
• Correct original air ventilation lugs.
• Correct M1891 chin strap post mounts.
• Traditional WW1 style three-pad leather liner.
