3 X 5 feet heavy cotton construction.
The SS Sig Runes design was created in 1931 by Walter Heck a Sturmfuhrer in the SS.
The SS or Schutzstaffel were the police and body guards of the Nazi Party.
Later had their own SS divisions or Waffens SS numbering over 1,000,000 men separate from the regular German Heer army. All SS members pledged an oath of loyalty to Adolf Hitler.
